Details: Numbers matching Texas car, 455 (D Port) with TH400, heavily documented, ordered car with lots of extras (including the rear console, rear spoiler, handling package, AC, PS / PB, 8 track). Functional hood and breather added in the late 70s from a wrecked Ram Air car.

I am trying to put rocker panel moldings on my '71 Formula. Can someone tell me if the screws on the ends go in from the top or bottom? Bottoms seems like a no brainer but the factory holes don't line up.

Bottom, angles up. I used 3m tape on the middle area and skipped more screws.. Original fenders?> hole may be different if fender was from an esprit or car with deluxe exterior trim ( the wide one)

That's what I thought, and they should line up. The fenders are 72 Formula. I have the brackets across the middle mounted on the little t posts. I'm gonna put up on the rack and look closer. I took thes original rocker moldings off back in the 70s!

I just noticed I typoed the year in my last post. I looked long and hard for a pair of original (rust free) '71 fenders. I finally did and then I tell you '72. lol

No worries IMO. Bet those '71 fenders are "rare as hens teeth"... Perhaps. Yes?

Salt on the road, what's that? If it snows here in SE Texas we just all stay home and party. Too bad that's only about once every ten years.
