I also like the (old school) look, except I went with 250 watt aircraft landing lights instead of the yellow.........

I used to have these for high beams on my 1973 Thunderbird. If I used them for anything longer than 3 minutes the circuit breaker in the headlight switch would trip and I would then loose all headlights until the circuit breaker cooled and reset. Darn bright lights though!

The popular aircraft lights are 100 watt pencil beams. The lamps I used are 250 watt floods. I ran a 6ga wire from the battery in trunk to a continuous duty Ford type starter solenoid mounted up front. Then I ran either 8ga or 10ga wire right to the lamps. I use the dimmer switch just to actuate the solenoid. These 250 watt lamps draw 20 amps each so you need a high output alternator to keep up. I live in the country with lots of deer so the few times I have driven the car at night, these lights have saved the car!!!!!!!!!!
