I can appreciate your bias and point of view. Your opinion is different than mine and the way I see it. Nice to be able to agree to disagree. No harm, no foul here IMO.

A$$ backwards marketing still holds here based on this previous marketing by Chebby:

1990s 1LEs were TRACK CARS...Z28s were mainstream "performance image" Camaros.
1998 - 2002 Z28s were - again - mainstream, with THE SS Z28 The SLP performance upgrade Camaro. And again IIRC 1LEs were "TRACK CAR CAMAROS", yes?

So, like I originally stated, GM Chebby marketing is ignoring their previous designation and hierarchy tier for the Z28 in the
2nd
3rd
4th
Generation which they have sold millions.

What's next; the Camaro Corvair Monza???

Who got burned?

Who cares what GM did 30 years ago? They went back to the Z/28 roots with this car. They are making it lighter, faster, quicker, handle better, and be more noisy than the normal camaro. Exactly what they did with the 1967 Z/28 vs a regular SS camaro. The only difference is they are using a bigger engine in it because they can.

You do realize that for a specialty car today it's done very well as far as sales go?

Hmm -

First impression is that the car does not look like anything else we have already seen before. Boring comes to mind...

But yes. You got me. It is a fact that the 2014 Camaro is faster around a track than any Pontiac ever built. You should have been a lawyer..........

As a lawyer you don't ask questions you don't already know the answer to.

Speaking of Pontiac, lets not forget our history lest we think everything today is new.

Well Pontiac did try at least a little back then.....they were a bit more successful in 2005/2006 with the GTO R.
