For the guys out there performing restorations, note the colors of the original hood hinges (black, not grey), the breather tube to valve cover (looks black), the master cylinder (looks like it had been black), the alternator pulley/fan, the A/C muffler as natural, not black, etc. Document the colors of the actual finishes on these parts before they degrade further.
![]() nice find!

That's how these cars looked when I first got interested in them, in the 1970's....when they were 6-10 year old cars. Bruno's '69 looks like about a 3 or 4 year old car that has been cared for.....not a 44 year old!! Amazing.

That is a really sweet car Bruno! I love the color scheme and there is nothing like a virgin car like that. The fact that someone cared so well for them for so long makes you feel an obligation to take on the obligation.
I know the feeling, all my cars are survivor types and three were one owner cars, two were two owner cars. My GTO convertible also came with shoulderbelts and was in similar vigin condition. I bought it in 93 and I'm still dragging my feet about painting it 20 years later. If you ever decide to sell it make sure it goes to a good home! And hopefully to a fellow Canadian! ...... Like me for example! ![]() Btw, are you going to keep the mud flaps?

Note the emissions decal, interesting. Mid season Baltimore car, none of my 69's show any sign of ever having had one. But only one is a Baltimore car and it's much earlier build.

Was hoping to get a better understanding (pic) of shoulder belts. Below is a 72 Buick GS convertible with front shoulder belts. They sure look clumsy. Are they the same as 1968 ones. I'm confused because my PHS shows them (left hand column towards bottom of PHS to the left of item 43) but I'm not sure where/what they look like. What are they attached to? Or am I reading the PHS incorrectly. Thanks, Dave

Bruno, is that an original paint car? Is there a "GM" mark of excellence decal on either door jamb area?
