Default Classic Rock Crate Digging

As a long time classic rock buff one of my favorite things to do is dig a little deeper and find the artists and albums that tend to be overshadowed by the big names of '60s and '70s classic rock.

Anyone else get a little burned out on hearing Led Zeppelin, AC/DC and Journey all the time?

Here's some of my favorite finds over the last few years:

Captain Beyond. The first singer of Deep Purple + members of Iron Butterfly

Cactus. Vanilla Fudge + the Detroit Wheels

The Groundhogs. John Lee Hooker's backing band.

Johnny Winter. Great first few of albums.

Rory Gallagher. This guy just flat out blows me away. Shame he died so young.

I'd love to hear any suggestions you guys have that are off the classic rock beaten path.
