Welcome! I'm just up the road from you in Ramona. I watched your Catalina on CL for a while and almost went to look at it several times. Not sure what you ended up paying but it looked like a pretty darn good deal!
PM me if you ever need Pontiac help or want to chat. ![]() Chris

Low and smooth Catalina; I like everything about it, especially the 8-lugs
. I was in your backyard last Saturday racing at the Pontiac Heaven event held at the Barona drag strip. Glad to have you here .

Thanks everyone for the kind words.

The car actually looks better in pictures than in person. Well, it looks good in person too. It just needs some work. There was rust on the rear deck lid between the rear window and trunk door. This in turn allowed a lot of moisture down into the trunk area and parts of the rear wheel wells which also need to be replaced. You can tell right away that a lot was done to the car when it was first built years ago--it was just left to wither away for some reason. Nice! I appreciate that. Where exactly are you at? Thank you, sir! I look forward to learning from all you local guys. I'm gonna need some help with this one. Quote:
But probably because I've only been around car guys so far.Quote:
Yup. Luckily I've driven a slammed minitruck before, so driving low isn't so foreign. And I grew up here, so it helps to know what lanes to be in, where to avoid speed bumps, etc.
