Well, I'm not in your league as far as ET but yes, would like to set some bests this year.
For me it won't be ET but deeper through my class.
In 2007 I made it to the 1/4 finals. Last year, actually made it to the semis and lost on a break-out. 0.02 seconds....
So, I'd like to best my finishes by getting into the final...

If we have the 59 Catalina ready, we will be shooting to get the big car to run a 9.9x. The trans won't be optimum, but we should have found some more power, EHTTFMFWBTI!!!

I am small time but 13.20 best hoping for 13.05 with new shocks, differant intake, & rear adj. upper a arms. Ran last yr. 20 psi in my drag radials, will try 18 this yr. fresh tune up & oil change before the big head change. Yes, changing shift points from 6,000 to 5500 and wait & see.???

Ideally, I'd like to get a high 8 but will likely settle for a low 9. I need to put some more gear in it(4.11 now with 33.5 tall tire and 1.80 1st gear in glide), but am honestly tired of working on it and spending money. Guess I'll settle for what it's got and go have some fun as is. On a plus note, my last license pass I left off the brake for the first time so I'll be playing with that at Norwalk. Should see my 60' time improve dramatically from the previous foot braking best of 1.38.

Bring that thing over at Norwalk and we will get that thing in the 12's!!!

I'll bring my old valve grinding stones, just bring an extra pair of head gaskets and some brake cleaner.

Easy goal for me, if I ever drag my car up there.
The last time I raced at Norwalk was in a 17 second Grand Am rental car.

In a rental? Awesome!

I did see a guy in a 2004-06 GTO a$$ end the center barrier a couple years ago. Did not look good for him. Announcer was saying something about it having dealer plates on it! LOL They put the bumper in the trunk. I'm gonna bring the 64 GP next year after the trans swap and gear change! Fingers crossed. Spectator for this one

Yes, flew into Indy to see my Father, made sure the rental car was a Pontiac.

Rolled around the water, the starter gave me the "Light 'em up" signal and I just held my hands up like why?

I'm hoping for better et's for sure. My little E-heads only flow 327 cfm and I'm sure they aren't big enough for the 525ci engine they are on. Last year I was turning 7700 through the traps. I'm betting it was probably at choke well before that. This year I'll have less gear and less convertor and still running the same 1/8th mile times so hopefully it will pull harder on the big end this year with a little better et's. I think my best at Norwalk was 9.42. Hoping for mid 30's this year.

Always shooting for a new best! Isn't everyone?

Earlier this summer I was actually thinking that I might get my '70 done by Norwalk- well that's pretty clearly not gonna happen! If I can get the stumble on my '69 taken care of, it's possible that I could get a new Norwalk best for that car. Doubt it'll make a new overall best in the August heat.

If we can get all our ducks in a row, we'll be there with the tempest. Everything is still in a million pieces at the moment.
