Default Air conditioning

Air conditioning isn't as cold as it should be. The car is only used in this area for a few months out of the year and it apparent that its leaking. I don't think the air would even be used all that much. After all it is a vert and I don't take it out unless I can drive with the top down.

Is it possible to recharge it with a can of what ever I can get at the auto parts store to get by from season to season?

depends on how much it leaks to see if its worthy of a leak fix
what ever you do dont use any fix-it-in-a-can.
I dont like just dumping a can in without seeing what the system pressures are.

What I did with mine is take it to a pepboys when they advertise the 20$ AC quick check, they put a leak detector on it, and refill it, you drive around for a week then take it back and they see where its leaking

this way you know how bad the leak is and how much refrigerant it loses per week

plus its cheap
