Does have a nice sound to her, thanks. The digital tach was between 950 - 1000 rpm.

... it's a hyd. roller, and on the dyno it idled nicely between 950-1025rpm ... May be a bit different in the car ...

I did get to run at Kil-Kare. Once on thursday and the same friday. The motor was strong. I ran 11.70's at 109mph. Not near what I was hoping for. It's still 3/10th quicker than my previous best with this motor. I'm questioning my tranny right now. The torque converter is fresh. But I've probably pressed my luck for a third season on the 400 tranny. Hopefully I can get this worked out in time for Norwalk.

Tranny or convertor though possibly too much gear or short tires? MPH is low for the ET... I was at 114+fractions going 11.78-11.80 about where it should have ET'd for mph.
Get that figured out and you should see better ET and mph.

Still... pretty darn good for first outing and an iron headed street combo.

I've got 4:10 gears with a 28 tall tire. The converter should stall around 3400. Jamie at Pro Torque Converters just rebuilt it to match my other 9 inch converter. My 0-60 was a 1.588 which I thought was pretty good. I'm pulling out the tranny to have it gone through.

I agree Bruce. Very rare to have everything dialed in on your first time out.

I was waiting for that question.lol I don't know yet and I don't have a recall on my tach. Hopefully not 5900 +. I had this hydraulic roller cam and lifters in my 505 and she would flat line before six grand. I went to a solid roller for the 505. I'm sure my tires and gearing are not optimal for this 455.
