Good luck with new house MA...something GOOD..
This time of year, stink bugs are all over my doors and windows trying to get in for the winter. I really hate those things.

My swimming pool has many of these floating on the surface, and sitting on the bottom. It's time to cover the pool for the year, as soon as I go for an October swim!

GR8 photo!

Hummingbirds here have disappeared during the past week. None to be seen @ feeders for days.

Suspect the Tropic Storm Karen heading north into the Gulf and the southbound early winter front was their internal clock to move on southbound.

Well, within an hour after my previous post that they were gone...who shows up, but our fat boy Hummingbird.

So, instead of remcing feeders as planned, a clean up and new solution and he was around with his other friend; my Mrs calls them:
Gordo & Flaco - Fat & Skinny; gorging for energy stores for their continued trip south.

They hung around for a couple of more days, entertaining our cats,...and now they too may have moved on.

Here in Central Texas I'm still having a few stop in. A few days ago two hummers were squabbling over the feeder in the evening. I keep at least one feeder going for the rare winter hummer sighting. Two years ago I had one overwinter, it hung around. I had to pull the feeder down at night when it the weather got freezing and put it up at daybreak in the morning. As soon as I put it up the little guy hurried to get to it.

Side not, I have a Screetch Owl that showed up this morning, it was sunning itself in the box opening. My piticular owl box is occupied during Fall thr Spring.

Crispy critters for lunch?

Still have straggler Humming Birds (2) hanging around...just about the time I'm about to remove feeders they show up.
