Default Whats M12 on a 66 Trim tag?

I bought a stick shift GP parts car..is M12 a 3 speed?

I couldn't find M12 in my vintage literature.

I found M11 = 3 speed on the column and
M13 = HD 3 speed on the floor.

I found M12 in my more modern literature but it showed as a Tremec 5 speed so I don't think that's it....

12 was a Brougham option I believe ... not sure about the M. Did the GP come with a Brougham option? Not to my knowledge ... thought that was Bonnie only?

11 was Ventura option ... sure that's not an 11 and not an M???

"M" codes are typically transmission related. You can't separate the alpha portion from the number like that.

"B" codes are typically ornamentation, and "Y" codes are normally content packages.

I know Keith ... you're right but was just confused by this code: M12 ... never heard of it. Can it be a special HD clutch? HD cooler?
