I've always loved that picture. The car is nice, too. No offense to the 1st Gen lovers out there, but Pontiac / GM really got things right with the interior and exterior styling of the early 2nd Gen cars. They are still sexy as heck and look perfectly in style -- at least to me, 40+ years on. |

That's an AWESOME car!
You know what it needs?........NOTHING....just drive it as a survivor and ENJOY! There aren't many left that haven't been "jacked with"

Robertf -- I'm in Santa Monica and do that drive all the time, Coast Highway thru Oxnard to 101 and Ventura... the best once you realize it's one giant speed trap!

Regarding the "POS" comment, I take it that it was about the Chevelle!

I've never noticed the body side moldings on the rear quarter before. Is that the way they all came with that option or was that back strip added?
Regardless, like others have posted - that is a gorgeous car and great photos! BJ

the side moldings were either added or replaced the factory ones (need to get PHS) but the back of rear 1/4 part is definitely not stock style. I will be removing that part and filling holes / repaint, they really bug me back there. the remaining ones I'll be replacing with white rubber insert ones (PY offers) to blend in more, I'm missing some end caps and they will look better white with new stainless, and they serve a purpose, but those trunk end ones will go bye bye. Hopefully with white I can get away with section painting and blending in.

I like those Montana plates. When I was a little kid back in the mid 70's...... 1975.... Montana had blue and white plates... Up until the bicentennial plates....they used to give you new plates pretty much every year.... I see they're still using the 1st letter to designate which county the plates were issued. I like the solid colored plates a lot better then these gay white plates with stupid sayings and pictures on them.
