Down here in the Ozarks this weekend at my cabin and just happened to run into that '74 4 speed Grand Am (it's a really small town) he said he's thinking about selling it; I gave him my business card ; wondering what it's worth ....body is really good on it....wife even told me it would be a good project for my son and I (he's 8)

A friend of mine had a green 73 Grand Am back in the early 80s... with a 4 speed. Sadly it was totaled by someone he lent it to. That's the only I'd ever seen until the photos of this white one.
Forgot to had it also had the hood scoops.

Back in the early 90s there was a '73 Stage 1 4 speed car near the shop I worked; guy told me it was one in seven ; so yours must have been pretty rare -

Lovely GA! Back in the day, one of my high school English teachers called me up to her desk -- she handed me some money and the keys to her car and asked if I would drive it over to the car wash that was about 2 miles away and get it cleaned up for her. The car was a white 73 GA just like yours. Had red interior, an auto trans and a 455. Super cool lady and an awesome car. I've never forgotten my little run to and from the car wash in that car. |

That indeed is a(nother) rare car that I remember seeing on the streets when they were new.
Pretty cool. IIRC - KOJAC TV series was sponsored by BUICK and you can see these same ABodys in the backgound and used as detective cars on the show. |

I bought an Admiralty Blue 74 new in 1974. Burgundy interior with special order white seats and honeycomb wheels. A very sweet car that I would love to find again today. Never as fast as the 69 GTO I traded on it, but one of my all time favorite cars. Gauges were standard on the Grand Am.

DId you see on the decklid if this car had a 400 or 455? Just curious (they had the callouts in Litres). Nice cars. A great handling and cruising package.
