It peaked at 6600 and flat lined to 7500. We stopped at that point . So who knows how further it would of gone, at that point it didnt matter to me. It was a chassis dyno..

what has engine acceleration has to do with car acceleration?
The car, by the laws of physics or if it is data logged on a race track will have max acceleration at about peak torque. Stan PS - Are you dyno racing?

Nitrous is much more violent and therefor subject to upsetting the chassis, a turbo car by comparison is a smoother application of power-- in most cases. Get carried away with either and you get into trouble, but the same can be said about the upper end N/A car.

We all know that the more power pulses that happen in a given amount of time more work is being done -- therfore a better E.T.. An extreem example would be a 400 hp diesle where power is maxed at 2200rpm and a 400hp small block making max at 7000, given the same weight and set up properly the small block will win the race.

The way I see it is, If your making peak hp at 6600 and the same at 7300 the difference is , you are making the same power while generating more momentum and spending more time in that power range. To me it feels like the motor at that point is more violent.

Stan you are lost in the space between your ears. You've tried squirming all over the map on this to change the subject in failed attempts to make some incoherent ...thing. Now you claim its me changing the subject. Clearly your "geniusness" is blinding you from how it really works in the real world. I'm done with this. Sad part is you will carry on with your self appraised expert opinion and mislead some poor guy along the way into spending money in the wrong places. Why don't you help some na CV1 guy get in the other lane and get a look at the back bumper from a distance....of my old a$$ crappy eheaded firebird. Should be easy for such a smart guy and a superior canted valve head.

My example was a stick on a track. That does not have to mean 1/4 mile track which most here run. Also most here run automatics with torque converters. What happens when the engine side of the converter is turning faster than the transmission side of the converter?
These were done sometime ago for a different thread on a different form. One shows the HP and torque curve the other map rear wheel torque and RPM against MPH. Acceleration in G's in each gear will follow the rear wheel torque curves. the yellow line show peak wheel torque / max acceleration for that gear the red line shows where the wheel torque for that gear would equal the wheel torque in the next gear. A good starting point to try and shift at. Also for this example the trans gears ratio were make so there was a 90% drop between each. Stan

"Peddle" isn't even a noun. It's a verb, meaning "to travel about selling wares".

Visner calls it a "Billet Force Cylinder Head, Pontiac Symmetrical Canted". They also have a Pontiac non-symmetrical- appears to be non-canted, but can't tell for sure from the pictures.
