I have an Audiovox CHT-73mpx that I removed from my 1969 GTO. I know it wasn't an original radio for the car because someone cut the dash trim for it to fit. I can't find any info on this radio and I would like to find out what car this belonged to. Suggestions? Also, I would like to find an original radio for the car.

Audiovox was used in a lot of foreign cars when the new car radio was just an AM radio. We sent our Datsuns out to the local shop to have them put in for little or nothing when the new car customer wanted a better radio. Audiovox I don't believe was ever installed as a factory installed radio.

There's a couple AM/FM originals on EB. I've been kicking this around and decided on this one:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/200433100321 I know it's spendy but it will look somewhat correct and I like that it's new, has modern features and plus the guy is a Wisconsinite like myself.

I would keep looking around as there are many other radios & aftermarket radios that look original that are less expensive. I'd look around for a little bit more to save you some money & they do look just like the originals your needing.
