It is considered extremely rude in the U.S.A.to not comment on a new thread, especially if you are from Canada

I have Bell Satellite tv almost the same as DirectTv and it is still on . Maybe it's a Canada thing or something. The funny thing is after I posted that post about 20 minutes later the Barrett-Jackson broadcast when off at around 10:30 right in the middle of them talking and the Supercross was on . The SPEED sign is still in the top right side of the screen.

You are probably right, must be a Canada thing. Wouldn't surprise me that the US can't get their crap together when it comes to this kind of stuff. Apparently someone wasn't paid enough down here and killed it. Glad to hear Speed is still alive up there.

Not sure if it will stay as SPEED because some shows show advertisement for FOX SPORT
but the SPEED sign is still on the top right corner of the tv screen and the channel is still SPEED on the channel guide

Huh.... whats going on here?

On a side note: Barrett Jackson feels weird to me after watching a lot of Mecum auctions. There seems to be a lot more fools with money.

Well, there are a couple things that are dictating that and makes the Scottsdale BJ auction a bit different.

For one, BJ's home town is Scottsdale, and Scottsdale is a fairly expensive town with alot of multi million dollar homes and seems to have a very large concentration of people with money. Location location location

Second, the BJ auction has a nack for drawing in high quality cars that have had $100,000+ restorations performed. These cars just bring more money.

I've been to the Russo and Steel auctions (held right up the street from BJ on the same weekend) and I've been to several Mecum auctions. The car quality at those auctions, although some are very good, are not always to the same standards you'll see at BJ. I do agree though, if someone doesn't mind performing some work, you can find pretty good deals at these other auctions. You just really have to attend all these auction in person and check out the quality, you'll see a difference. They all look good on TV so it's hard to judge.

Also if you notice the other BJ auctions held in Nevada, California, and Florida, also don't bring the kind of money that BJ does when it's in Scottsdale. Again, location location location.

I hear you. I've been to the West Palm Beach show twice, and there are some cars that would look great on tv, but up close you can see the filler and shady bodywork.

I think forum is a little too challenging for you as I can see your unsure of your current location on the planet earth. Perhaps some brain exercises would help. Try your luck with this game show...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JASgVzxDt4Q

I watched everything I could tape and it looked to me that Camaro's were being slaughtered. Pontiac rules! I am going to try and get some stats from the site in the next few days and will post it. GTO's are up obviously, but I think we did well across the board. Last day sucked though. No one there to bid, stuff went out the door cheap.

Even the motorhome was nice for $60k.

I believe Fox Sports is really trying to re-brand itself as a legitimate sports channel. I think their plan is to genuinely compete with ESPN. So the Speed Channel went away and we were left with a portfolio of FS1, FS2 and Natgeo. Kind of like playing, "lets find the auction". Hopefully they get things sorted out for next year but I'm just happy they televised it. I wish they would create a real reality TV show where they show how to restore a car. Not the shows where they go from barn find to beauty queen in 24 hours. And those beauty queens probably look a lot better in the dark.
