For some crazy reason I think Curt might be shifting that thing at like .6-1.0 second into the run..........
Hell yes maybe higher, look at the curve on the sheet!

WGAF , the point you're trying to make is a miniscule one. But you're not going to get to make that point cuz I have seem Mike run multiple classes at Norwalk same day, make a ton of passes a day, driving to and from the lanes and the hood never came off

George, I'll lay out my game plan at norwalk for you(or anywhere else).....Make as many passes as possible. I go into customer service with 2-300 bucks and i sign up for every single race i can fit the car in even remotely. usually buy the no box and box side of the gamblers races, quick 16,like literally every entry I can buy.

Then I race the she!t out of it! most years at norwalk I'll get 16-25 passes. I'll check the lash every 25-30 passes. last year I made easily 150 passes. I know your season was cut short by the crank failure. But i'm pretty darn sure I made 80-100 by norwalk.

The fact I got a deal on a cart and involved the 15 yr old son in help with pushing the car does not mean I can't drive the crap out of it like the year before. It makes more sense to push it with the cart. I know you just can't believe that.....I'll add it to the list of things other people don't want to believe... Blah blah high maintenance, Max effort whatever.

Prediction.... this thread will remain "warm and welcoming" till long after Norwalk.

Isnt it nice how lovingly George and John just exchanged Valentines?

So what qualifies one to be a "heads up snob"?

Your close -- I shift at .4 out and set the engine dead stall at 4100 -- that's where it sits for about 3.5 seconds before going back to wide open throttle.

Slowbird,
Anyone that rips or doesn't give credit to anyone that doesn't just heads up race! I can name 5 or 6 of them. Good racers just narrow minds.

After selling the circle track modified we ran for a season and a half, I am also involved in two cars, both 68 birds, both legal 275 cars, one a nitrous 541 MR1 with HPs. At legal weight, it went 5.2s two seasons ago with a best of a 1.19 60' on 275s. Very competitive for that time. Did not run it last year. The other 68 will have the BES 609 motor. After the upcoming dyno session barring any unforeseen glitches we will campaign it some this year and will be hunting ehead/nitrous combos.
My 66 abody streeter was competitive for several years when local heads up 10" tire classes were popular and could still run with most here with SC heads. Plan is bringing it back out with a semi hemi head poncho motor.

The roadster motor looks to make decent power, (sounds like eheads) but not impressed as there have been others that came before you having done the r&d and spending the initial bigger $$$$ so you could basicly order a crate motor. Am I far off base? I suspect you had little to do with the build other than maybe tell the builder what fuel you wanted to run, carb or injection setup.
It is kinda surprising how you feel "you handed me my ass" on the V thread -- when your the one that had to eat his words when your own head manufacturer chopped you off at the knees by agreeing with My comments - Its also very surprising that you seem to know all about me and what I do - yet know jack **** - I have been building Pontiac engines for almost 45 years, I build my own trans and rear ends and weld chassis -- for you to try and challenge what I can and can not do is pure BULL**** - as I suspect your the nut hugger on the V project, spending others money - using others to design and build ect ect -- Did I get some help and advice on the last build - sure -was I deeply involved with the process, absolutely 100%, aside from the actual flow bench work on the heads could I have done every part of the build -- Bet on it --

Slowbird,
Come on give me some credit this ain't about me. I could care less about what some one thinks about me. With that being said if you have been paying attention there have been threads started (in the last couple years) about other racers (that don't do the heads racing) and to not much of my surprise no kudos .......and I mean nothing were given to them about there accomplishment (damn I hope I spelled that right), maybe just a slip of the key board just kind of sad. I might be generalizing to much but life doesn't start and stop with the heads up deal. Now don't get me wrong I love the heads up thing wish there was a class I could run.......maybe in a different life. us Pontiac racers are a small group and anytime we can whoop up on another brand we should be given credit! No matter what type of racing we do! If I'm wrong I apologize, it wouldn't be the first time.
