hes my wifes 63 four door just got the car back on the ground , custom made adjustable ladder bars made from 1" dom 156 wall tube cut, bent, tapped,notched, tig welded by myself, not happy about the dropped crossmember has way too much drop its only tacked in so im goin to pull it out and make my own, I just cant get the car low to where it looks good with out it bein close to the ground the rear is a 8.8 out of a mountaineer with 373s and posi disc brakes , runnin a track bar and coil overs , frame rails are 2x3 box tubing this car is very rusty ,

what size back tire are u running , is ur crossmember dropped how far from the ground is it , aslo what rear spring rate are u using

i got 28 x 12 m/t, 150 pound coilovers, and i've had 4 full size men cruising, i can take pic of my crossmember tonight and measure it. Dan

ok thanks my last two sets of springs are not marked but the car bottomed them out

my crossmember is 4 3/4 inches from the ground at lowest point, if pics are upside down blame I phone, one old pic when i built it. Dan

Love the stacks! What size motor?

It's a 400 ci. just a used motor that I got awhile back.
I put a new oil pump in it a set of 16-heads and a crane
RA-IV cam I had lying around. The motor is a 1968 and
the heads I used are 1968 also same month to only a few
day's from the date of the block and of coarse you can see
the induction system. Should make a good driver for the summer.
WOW If I get all these cars done for the summer I'll have a variety
to drive through the week.

Manifold & carb back on. Alternator conversion done. Still have all the odds & ends to put back on. With any luck it will be back on the road by this weekend,,,,all depends on work whether I have any time to spend on it.

Jack,,,She's a factory 4 bbl car. Used to run it but switched to the 1bbl for fuel economy. Decided to switch back. Hard part is finding all the parts I took off over 12 years ago!!

I was trying to upload photos but it didn't seem to want to work. A couple pics of what it looks like now and one rendering when finished. I want to do the rearend conversion and disc brake from tend but am more concerned with how low I can get it and providing enough tire clearance. I have a built 400 for it but so far that's it. Was thinking if doing the currie street rod 9" which I guess is 56" wide as I want as much room for a wide lip on a 9.5" wide rear with 4.5 b.s. As possible. Let me know what you guys think.
