IF you remember my Fontaine went to shop just after yours. I decided to go with Nightwatch. I have color on Jambs and should get the rest done this week. I'll soot you a pic.
May have second thoughts about not going back w/ Fontaine after seeing yours. Any issues with panel alignment??

No problems with panel fitment. He put the doors and front end back on the car after first prime and had me come over and look at/approve fitment. Then he took it apart again. I have been refurbing/restoring everything I can at my shop - buffing all the stainless, bead blasting and painting everything including all the hardware. Also have been spending a ton of money at both our hosts and at another outlet. A week or so ago, on the way home from my daughter's house after the birth of a new grandson, I stopped at the Performance Year store/warehouse and picked up an order for me and for a friend who also has a 65. She is restoring her vert for a second time as it caught on fire last fall. I am going back to Delaware this Wednesday to pick up my wife who stayed for a couple of weeks to help out with the new baby. I am going to stop there again as my friend has another big order to be picked up. They (PY) are only a couple miles off 476 and I go right by the exit, so we have been able to save some shipping. Performance Year has quite an operation and the folks there are very nice. Nice to put a face or two with a name.

Check the weather before you head out. We're supposed to get another storm Wednesday. You might want to have her stay until the weekend. More quiet time for you too to play in the snow out there in Western NY. LOL

Where in Delaware? Here in New Castle we had a nasty little storm this afternoon up to 7:30pm. Not real bad but it sure made a mess of things again.

She lives in Newark Delaware only about 9 miles from New Castle. She mentioned the possibility of a storm. I'll keep tabs on the weather report although it is not showing anything bad for Wednesday at this momment at Weather Channel .com. Thanks for the heads up. I appreciate it.

It is ready to come home for assembly. Just waiting for some better weather. I worked on the instrument cluster last week to get that ready. These pics of the car are from my phone so not of the greatest quality. I'm anxious to get it put back together.

I just may be able to get my 65 back together for the Spring/Summer as I am making steady progress. I am putting the door panels on and will take it to the upholstery guy in a week or so for headliner install. Underneath pretty well done (need to do shocks yet), and the driveline is all back in and fired up after a year and a half out of the car. Have 4 14X7 new steel wheels painted Fontaine blue and new poverty caps waiting for new redline tires. I'm really starting to get excited now that I can see the end. Here are a few recent pics.

MAN ! You've got a lot done. Dash is perfect. Where did you hide all those wires? my car has A/C and putting the duct and lining up all the outlets was a real PITA. I'll shoot you a pic or two. You are WAY ahead of me. Looks like you will be riding soon.

Waiting on my steering wheel which is being refurbed by our hosts - hope it is soon as it has been 7 weeks. I called last week and pretty much got lip service. Also waiting on my tail panel which is at the plater's. Ordered my redlines today through Summit. Painted some new front shocks gray and I'll install tomorrow. Re splatter-painted the trunk. I'll put some matte clear on the trunk tomorrow. Waiting on floor insulation so I can install that, the carpeting, and the driver's bucket. Hopefully, weather permitting, I'll take it to the upholsterer for the headliner next week.

Mr. rsavage I am not quite as far along as you however, I thought I'd share with you my progress. Wen from Fontaine, like yours to Nightwatch.
Haven't given it a bath yet so there is tons of pollen. I did re-paint the radiator and cleaned up the engine compartment. Body shops are the place to pick up thick dust and other crap. Stay in touch.

glad to see another bluemist slate 4 barrel car. mine has parchment interior though. love the wheels even if body color wheels weren't offered with bluemist slate I might do that also. looks fantastic.

This thread brings back a lot of memories. Although I bought a 65 Lemans in 1969, my first GTO was a 65 Fontaine blue, 4 speed, 4bbl car. I bought it as a roller out of a chicken house for $200. Then I bought a 66 GTO that had been rear ended and used the engine and tranny. Had it painted, etc. etc. etc. With tires, Ralley II's and everything I had about $800 in the total deal. Sold it a few years later after I got married and have no idea where it ended up.
