I know that removing unwanted items over original paint is possible. Same goes for undercoating. It all depends on who hits the BIN....

Nice car. I would love to get my hands on it and fluff it. Here are some pics of my original paint HO with dead paint. We did a light wetsand and buff. Its not perfect but its still original paint. You can see the difference in the one shot between the fender and the hood after we did the hood. Much easier to do on a solid color

Ok so this is a 73 Survivor with 11,850 miles what is wrong with this picture? If the mileage is correct then why would you need replacement tail pipes on such a low mileage car? I have a few cars that have 7 times that mileage and only then needed new pipes. I guess that the price came about by dropping the first one (1) in the mileage and then adding three (3) zero's. 11,850 miles becomes $185,000.00 works for me!

About a year ago, I had the pleasure to inspect this car rather closely. It is exactly as described. The prior owner did clear the entire car to preserve the original paint. The interior was like new with the new car smell. The price may be a stretch but it is the real deal. I ended up purchasing my 1972 T/A from the same seller. As a matter of fact, the same seller had his car on the cover of the April 2013 Muscle Machines magazine, a tripple black 1970 Hemi Charge R/T four speed.

My 73 SD has 19,000 miles and a small hole in one of the original tail pipes from water sitting in a low point in the tube. I'm not about to touch the original exhaust though. Remember, the original pipes are 41 year-old, mild steel tubing, not modern stainless or aluminized steel.

This is the problem with not driving low mile cars. Just starting it up and running it few minutes every now and then is far worse than actually taking it out for good thrashing. If you don't heat up the entire exhaust system to operating temperature you are only causing rust to appear in the spots where the acidic condensation forms and then sits.

That T/A is a very well known car and the mileage is real.

I understand that things do not hold up well when not used. At the same time the way the car is described it is all original as left the factory. I am pointing out that the factory tips did not have stamped part numbers.

If I look at those pinstripes and flames I am figuring that the guy wanted the shiniest tips sticking out the back possible. That necessitated a trip to the dealership for replacements?
Maine's proximity to salt air would have those tips in rough shape in short order once the original owner started driving the car. As I understand it, the flame job was applied under the ownership of the second guy...

Good eye!! If you blow up the right rear 3/4 view, you can see a molding screw right above the flare. Cut up full moldings I'd say. But why?

would have to look it over close. 3600 miles? has a dash cap, didn't bother to put the panel under the steering wheel back on right, console lid doesn't look like it sits right. all little things, but the details are what drive most of these prices.

That's what I want, White SD-455. Looks nice, but can't tell much from pics. wrong exhaust tips and that steering wheel is not original obviously. Does not mention much about the engine.

71WARBIRD, If I ever have the Money, a White w/tan interior very low options SD. I really like that color combo, and I wanted as stripped down as possible. My Old Formy was like that and I just loved the car.
