Here is a pic of that adapter. I am not 100% sure if this is the correct part because it has "Stewart Warner" stamped into it in cursive letters. However, my car was originally a 3.90 rear and would have used one of these.

How much do you want for it?I also need the speedometer gear that goes in tranny for a 3:90 rear gear if you still have it.

It has the groove in the side for the tab that retains the normal speedo cable, the part I am holding goes on the trans side. The other shaft faces the front of the vehicle. You can have it for $20 shipped, I really have no idea what its worth.

I don't have the gear.

I don't have anything else that is supposed to go with it, sorry. As for how it works, I have no idea as my car was totally disassembled when I got it.

I don't know where all this info comes from but you are way off. As a restorer and collector of 69 gto' s for 30 years I've never seen or heard of a 69 having the Speedo cable on the passenger side. I've had ones with ratios of 308-433 and everyone had it on the drivers side. I've never seen a Speedo adapter on a stick car EVER. Automatics only. You do what u want but the correct trans is the one with the Speedo on the drivers side.

I agree with Ram4 king. All 68-69 GTO's had the speedo on the drivers side. I think firebirds and chevy might have them on passenger side, but not 100% sure. Definitely GTO on drivers side. You can look in the 69 assembly manual and it clearly shows drivers side speedo's.

I parted out a 68 LeMans with 3 speed Dearborn trans, as I recall the speedo was on the passenger side of the trans but I can't be 100% sure now.

I have one file photo of the drivers side of the transmission, It's not the best picture but I sure don't see a speedo gear mount.

FWIW

I owned a 69 GTO 4 speed with a/c years ago and it had the speedometer ratio adapter, as I recall it had a 3.23 ratio rear differential.

I suppose it is possible it could have been added at sometime over the years but the car did have it's born with drivetrain, motor, transmission and rear differential.

The speedo mount was on the drivers side, I have never seen a GTO 4 speed car with a passenger side speedo mount.
