Default You folks are a class act Thanks so much

I have owned my GTO for 41 years and the restoration from ,.ll started almost 6 years ago today. if Lemons can be turned into lemonade this experience is one of them. I can't say how grateful I am to all of the people I have met because of the way this restoration went down but I have met and had help from some very incredible people including those on this site
I wish I could thank you folks that have helped in person but this is the best I can do

May have to change my screen name pretty soon because its getting pretty close to not being a "brokengto"

My car would still be sitting in a drippy mess if it weren't for this site (as you can tell from my numerous posts), now all I have to do it solve a vacuum leak once it comes back from a paint job. I agree with you 100%

Hey Darth, I guess I hadn't seen that you were getting it repainted.

I don't have a lot of car friends around so this board is my relief from that fact. I am far from an expert but like to help out when I can. This board has been a significant help to me too.

Yep...fenders are coming off (slight weave will be taken out of the driver's side front), heater core will be replaced while it's all apart, getting it repainted, new weatherstripping all done...all at cost. I gave it to a 30 year auto body teacher and they get it for about 2 months.

Sad to report that brokengto, Terry Lindell ,passed away early this month.

I received a call back from his wife on 6-13-14. She said he had passed away and he was only 56.

Prayers go out to his family.

Default Missing my Best friend -

Terry and I were friends since we were 14 years old and have enjoyed working on cars for the past 42 years together. I will truly be missed. He was a " Class act of a Friend". he will be missed by everyone who knew him. Its so sad to see that his car was almost completed with just a few things to go and he couldn't see it finished. May he rest in peace and watch over all of us - he was like a brother to me ! -Mike B

My condolences to his family and friends. R.I.P. Terry.

56 is way too young to pass on like that. Makes me glad I've made it to 64. Treat each day like it's your last and live on for tomorrow.

Mike, I can't believe it. I am so sorry to hear of this. Goodness gracious - I just mailed Terry a bolt he was seeking on June 4 so he could get this car done. I offered to loan him one of three carbs to get it running, but he declined stating "bolt would be great Everything else under control." I only knew him for a short while, but he was a kind soul and I'm glad we were able to meet and share the GTO hobby for a short while. Very sad. I wish I had known earlier.

Kurt

Wow I just saw this, have not been on PY much lately. Terry was a class act and a real nice guy. Sorry to see him go at a young age.
