I'm all for companies introducing uprated parts for the Pontiac ,but in my opinion $350 is far too much to modify your own pump! I've never had an oiling problem using the $80 Melling select pumps, though I only spin my engines to 7000-7200 rpm and am only making around 960 HP at the moment. Maybe there's a need for a better pump up around 8000 rpm or over a 1000 horse,I don't know?
