From what I have been told, it spent its entire life in Sierra Vista. Was on the road for 20 years as a dailey driver. Less than 6 thousand miles a year. Had been in storage since 85.

Road trips to pickup another Pontiac are living the good life IMO! Hope it's a great one.

Questions & Thoughts:
  • Have you verified all roads to / from the purchase location are clear and not washed out from the recent rains?

  • Is this a Craigslist purchase? If so, feel free to keep it to yourself. Food for thought; if it IS a CL ad you're responding to make sure to be careful about who/where/when you are meeting strangers w you coming from out of town with large amount of cash.
Check out this LINK list of CL car purchase robberies as a FYI.
Not intending to rain on your Poncho Parade Keith - just want it to be safe for your and your bud.

Roads are good. Not a craigs add. Manager of the Discount tire in Sierra Vista is a member of the Tucson chapter of POCI. He sent a couple of cell phone pics to the chapter members. I am a member. He got me intouch with the current owner. Car has not been posted for sale anywhere. Not a problem on the other. I allways carry 24/7. No worries! Waiting is the hard part.

Road trips are part of the story we get from these cars - the hunt, the discovery, the travel & the pickup are all part of the enjoyment they give us.

We're as anxious as you are Keith - can't wait until you get it!

We made it back. The big full figured lady is parked in front of the house!!! (taking up 2 spaces) As soon as I can figure out how to download the pictures from this new camera, I will post them up!! The trip down & back was perfect & uneventfull. No issues what so ever. Many thanks to my good friend Mark Leisher (marks73ta) for the drive down & the tow back. I probably could of drove her. She drove on & off of the trailer with no issues. Motor sounds perfect!! No lifter clatter, nothing!! have the original keys with the number plug intact. Have a big book full of paperwork to include the original bill of sale, the original title, the build sheet from off of the fuel tank when it was replaced. Have the original owners manual with owners protection plan with protectoplate intact. So many documents, will take weeks to catalog & arrange. Paint code on the firewall is LL, Teal Turquoise Poly. Very faded but I belive it will buff out. When standing next to the car, you cant hear it running!! In front you can hear the fan & thats it!. 389, 4bbl, T-400

Default Pictures!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here are the road trip pictures!! Again,,, Many thanks to my friend Mark for the transport!! I hope this is the last time she will ever be on a trailer!!!!

Arriving in Sierra Vista, waiting on our contact to show up.

At the shop where the GP was at. Getting ready to load after a road test around the building.

Loaded up & ready to go!!

In the Denny's parking lot in Sierra Vista getting a late breakfast/early lunch.

Stacked headlights in the rear view mirror!! What a sight. This was taken right after going through a border patroll & Customs checkpoint, north of Sierra Vista on AZ-90

Refueling at the truck stop in Eloy Arizona.

At the house & starting to unload!!

Nice ride. I like those 65 GPs. It does not look like an AIR car. The valve covers have been swapped to the other side of the motor. The oil fill hole and breather should be on the drivers side and the one with the small plug should be on the passengers side. Of the car had the65 California emissions it would have a vent tube running from a grommet where the plug is on the passengers side valve cover up to the air cleaner, and a cap on the valve cover instead of a breather.
