Update!!! After work, today I charged the battery. She fired right up. Drove her down to the local Autozone & got a bottle of 108+ octane booster. Next stop was the gas station. After adding the octane boost, the car took 22.5 gallons of 91 octane 26.5 gallon tank in this beast!! Then the dog & I went for a drive!! All the windows down & wing vents cranked all the way open. According to all the paper work I have on the car, it has only had 43 miles put on her since 1992!!! Well today I doubled that!! Put just shy of 100 miles on it this evening. Starts right up & runs & shifts fine. Didnt have much stale gas to burn out. I plan on driving it to work tomorrow! Let the Tempest have a rest for a day or two. Now if I can just find a good place to mount a cup holder!! Maybe drill a couple holes in the console? Any suggestions???

Keith you will need a second job if you plan to drive that thing more than 1 or 2 days a week! Parking could be a problem too, remember you need a one guy in front and one in the rear with those little ligth things to guide you in!!

Well,,, stopped by Marks house today after work. When he came out, I tossed him the keys & said,, lets go for a ride! I think he had a great time driving the battle ship. Brought back lots of memories. His better half Janet sat in the back as we took a cruise around the block!!
Now woeking on getting it buffed out & shined up!! Even had a guy yesterday walk in off the street & hunt me up at work asking if it was for sale! Car sure turns heads! As I was leaving work the boss's daughter wanted a ride also.

Yup, great memories. For our wedding present (1971) my father-in-law gave us his 1965 Bonneville station wagon that he used daily to carry his carpentry tools to the jobs. We eventually used it as a trade for my '72 Trans Am bought off the floor. Looking out over that monster hood with the head light/fender peaks and the center hood peak, it really brought driving that Bonnie back. Cars have come a long, long way since those days, but it is still one hell of a treat to float down the road in them. I still can't believe how disconnected the power steering felt compared to my G8 GT (and all new cars) and how it wallows around corners but boy, I'd never turn one down if I found such a great example like Keith did. Absolutely a treasure.
