I really like the looks of the Mustang. No Camaro for me even tho it gripped the road better.

Translation?
You'd have to pump up a 4 cylinder fairly tight to haul that lard bucket around.

Is that really the new front end of the 2015 Camaro?
Looks like crap and resembles the Cruze.

The Eco Boost 4 Mustang weighs more than last year's V6 Stang. To make the EcoBoost look better - they decreased the power of their V6 to 300HP to make the boosted version look better with 310. The V6 Camaro is only about 5% heavier than the new EcoBust Stang - and has about 5% more HP. |

And the fact that a Chevy looks like a Chevy isn't a problem to me. |

2014 Mustang V6 weighs approx 3530. Depending on where you pulled your numbers there could be a little variance. But not much. Sounds like a wash to me. You say they knocked 10hp off for comparative purposes. ![]() Yes, the Camaro is heavier. Yes it has a little bit more HP. It is also substantially down on torque from the Eco-Boost with the V6 Camaro coming in at 278 while the little 4 cylinder Mustang pumps out 320. How did you miss pointing that out?

I didn't say squat about the Ford.

I take that back, I think a 3rd grader could have come up with something better. And if the bowtie gets any larger, it'll be worthy of putting it on a chain around Flavor-Flav's neck. The previous Camaro's grill is much better looking. A Camaro should look like a Camaro, not like the rest of the faces in the rent-a-car lot. Or perhaps Chevy is wanting to follow in Dodge's footsteps and put the same grill on every vehicle they make? That would be a brilliant marketing move.

Well, at least GM didn't follow the stylings of the "Motor City Masters" winner Camilo Pardo. He was the designer of the Ford GT and came up with the blue Camaro/Mustang mashup that won the competition. The striping had Boss 302 influence all over it.

That is the 2016 Camaro 'RENDERING'. The 2015 Camaro sitting in my driveway doesn't look like that. I am going to make the assumption that you will see some design elements transitioning towards the 2nd gen cars but highly doubt that they are going to paste a cruse/malibu bumper/grill combo on the front of it. Also the pissing match over a couple hundred pounds and a handfull of hp is pointless. Yes todays cars are heavy but 325 hp out of a V6 while only drinking 24mpg is pretty impressive and the car is far from boring on the road.

I don't think either figure is anything other than normal these days, though honestly 24 ain't that impressive.

Here are rendering made recently of the 2016 camaro based on camouflaged test cars that have been spotted and a video of it on the Nurburgring track in Germany.
