Those Tiger Paw ads were among my favorites when I was a kid in the '60s.

Hard to believe showrooms once looked like this.

One of my clearest childhood memories is of standing there reading those words on one of the tires on my Aunt and Uncle's brand new '67 SS 396 4spd Chevelle. I was only 9 years old but I was SO impressed with that car at the time that I can remember almost every detail of it.

Watkins Glen Festival 1973. The Band, Allman Brothers, and Grateful Dead. 600,000 I believe. Rock & Roll & Poncho. I like the one with the beer

Great pic.
That festival probably had enough weed and beer floating around that the owner of that 1969 Firebird probably drove out of the concert with the same two girls on the hood. Can't get enough SCCA.... This is Jerry Titus's 1970 Trans Am being chased through the Laguna Seca corkscrew by Craig Fisher (1969 Trans Am) and Sam Posey (1970 Dodge Challenger).

Everybody knows the first pic. The Dodge was my uncles back in 1957. This was before he customized it.

The B-63 Mack I drove, with a Detroit V8, was a cement mixer with an 8 yard barrel and a Ford 6 cylinder to run the mixer. Got it stuck only once when the site foreman for the 765KV transformer station we were delivering to had me back into a hole where the 'ol gal sank 24"s in the mud. The power divider didn't help at all to get out, tho I did back all the way in to where he wanted me. Took a D8 Cat dozer to pull me out. LOL

Hey, I was there! Great concert, (No Woodstock, (was there too) but as good as it got in the seventies) but it had a tragedy. I remember watching two or three parachutists jump out of a plane with American flags and flares strapped to their feet gliding down to the concert field. One of them had a problem with the flare and was burned to death on the way down. Rest in Peace Willard Smith. Deadhead I'd love to hear it again...
