The kit from Scarebird looks like a decent bracket kit. I had some 63 spindles on my car at one time and his kit fit well.

Used the scarebird on my 57 safari and it worked great with the recommended calipers and rotors.

At some point the stock line configuration is going to have to go from 1/4 to 3/16 line. All of the 1/4" line is gone on mine. There are adapters for this also, but I put in an adjustable proportioning valve on mine and set it in the middle and works good. But i'm also using a manual 1" bore mc mounted to the firewall , not the stock single master cylinder.

KK , If you haven't seen this I was going to get this bracket and set it up on the frame before I mounted mine on the firewall. I figured with my headers something else in the way.

I put a Scarebird conversion on my '58. Works great. I did replace the stock MC with a balance-bar and two separate manual MC from Wilwood. Not sure that setup is the way I'd go again, but all the stuff at the wheel was a piece of cake. Put another setup on my '66, but haven't had the chance to drive it yet. Still seemed to go on without too much trouble.

Brakes
Any one interested in putting front discs brake on their 55? I have brakets and spacer that will change front set up to disc brakes. Only problem is the front changes to 4.3/4. Easier to change style on rims. Pm if interested I have a few set
