My dad chopped the firewall and moved the motor back and 3-linked the car at the time. The only thing I updated was a funny car cage and redid the rear frame rails to get the car to sit lower with the coilovers. Motor made 1030hp/850ft-lb tq Car weighs 2840 w/ me in it

This thread is so long, I don't know if I ever posted these pics on it, or not.
Anyhow, the 1st pic is of my wife(TJ), leaving the line in her '68 Bird bracket car. This pic was taken in 1979. She won lots of races in this car, & quite a few at this track, which was in Tyler, TX. One win there was at an IHRA points race, in '78. The 2nd pic was taken in '77, in Prescott, Ark. at the Southwest Ark Championship race, which she won. |
