Hey Bob, is this the layout and clamps for the steel fuel & vent lines & clamps as they route from the front to rear on the passenger side?
I like this method for "reinstallation" CRS reminder

Yep, that's what it's for. I've got too many parts scattered at this point to have confidence in remembering where they go. This works pretty well. Stick them in the cardboard as removed, clean them on the wire wheel one at a time, stick them back in the cardboard, hit them with a couple shots of brake kleen, and then a few coats of Eastwood diamond clear.

Well another part is done, ready, and on the shelf. MPD stopped by the garage today and finished rebuilding the alternator. We pulled it apart this weekend and by all appearances it was all original 1978 Delco. We got it cleaned up and painted, and he picked up all new guts at NAPA. He got it put back together today and hopefully its ready for another 37 years of service. He is such a talented guy. There isn't anything that he's afraid to tear apart and rebuild. It looks great and we're ready to move onto the next item.

I had another bright spot today. Len Williams called and the short block is ready. All I have to do is send him some money and he's ready to load it on a truck and send it east. Pretty exciting. It's all coming together and it's all I can do to keep up. Controlled chaos is defined in my dictionary as "happiness". Here are some pictures of the alternator.

Thumbs up Excellent

He does nice work! What was replaced alternator wise?

- Diode Trio, Brushes, Springs, Regulator, Bridge, Bearings &?

I'd suggest that you bag & tag all of the takeoff parts for future used due to the originals superior quality to anything new No rain or intended, just keep all you have for future use as needed IMO.

I can tell you that the current parts available are no match (is anything really?) for what I used to sell back in '80s..

It looks nice! Hope he "clocked it" right

Everything got replaced, but the stator and rotor. They got a healthy dose of CRC and cleaned well. I won't even ask if he clocked it corectly. He's been in enough Rodeos to know how to put his boots and hat on correctly.

I just have a funny feeling that's that one is dupicolor or plasticote with Delco label wrapped around it.....

Did you read the "fine print" on the bottom of the can?

Man, I have been trying to avoid repeating that exercise. However, I do have 4 different varieties of Corporate Blue here and Duplicolor 1619 in my Ebay shopping cart.

Does anyone have a good original paint valve cover or oil fill cap they can send me for a paint sample or comparison to currently available rattle cans? Without anything to benchmark from I'm not doing anything.
