Took the Judge wing off my 70 GTO and will have the holes filled and lid reshot. How do you tell if the wing is a repop or a real deal? I don't see any part number but it does have studs (which anyone could have out in). Here are some photos:

looks real to me..ive had a few even an NOS....and looks right in the pics...but im not an expert
nice and sharp edges,,and all those seams...how heavy is it or is it feather weight...feather weight is bad...and the couple of repops are misiing all those seams on the bottom and the edges are more blunt... just a guess looks real to me..

It is fairly heavy - weighs a little over 20 lbs on my bathroom scale.

Just curious. What the big deal if it's fake or not.

If I decide not to keep it, I think it makes a pretty big difference in sale price, doesn't it? I haven't decided yet if I want to get rid of it or hold on to it. My car isn't a Judge and I think it should be dressed as it was built. However, that being said, I think it looks pretty good on the car. I go to a lot of shows during the spring, summer, and fall, and I really don't want to be constantly asked why I have a Judge wing if the car isn't a Judge when I take the 70. Don't think it was an option for a regular 70 GTO? Dealer installed, maybe? Are there any Pontiac brochures that show it as a dealer accessory for 1970?

12 lbs and like said, smooth pedestals on my repop..it has most of the seams, but some of the detail is less than a real one

I believe that's a silly question. We all know most would rather have an OEM part over some repop part and of course the price will be reflected accordingly.

Don't forget there were two different spoilers. An early light weight 70 and a heavier late 70/71. But I'd bet my nuts that's real, pedestal is spot on .
