Don, dumb question but are your valve covers a bolt for a stock Pontiac bolt pattern? Such as my KRE D-Ports? I really like the shape of those and I need clearance for poly locks and girdle. Thanks.
Mark

Yes they are. They will fit any Pontiac head as long as it has the factory Pontiac bolt pattern. These are cast aluminum and you may need to clearance them in spots to clear some stud girdles. They are right around .180" thick though so you don't need to worry about grinding through.

Two sets of these neat heads are under construction here now. These arrived very securely packaged. IMHO these are high quality castings with no visible porosity. The machine work appears to be of very high quality/accuracy. No issues with these. Thanks again Don for your valiant efforts.

I do have the water cross over configured and test fitting it right now. Here is a pic of what I came up with. I know some of you want a stock appearing part. So what I did was scan the water cross over from a 1965 Tripower intake and reconfigure it for my intake. That way it still resembles a factory look and a bonus is that the thermostat is easy to get to. Sorry I only have one pic right now to show, but I will be taking more.

Don your intake water crossover looks like it will interface with the factory style, timing cover back side for coolant flow, is that a correct assessment of it? Also what factory style Thermostat housings are able to bolt onto to your new water crossover design?
Thanks in advance I can see all of your pieces of the DCI Ram Air V are coming together nicely. |

Thanks Rick for your support and enthusiasm for my new heads. It's guy;s like you that keep me going when the going gets tough. My water crossover will indeed interface with the factory timing cover just like the factory set up. It will still need the rubber o-ring that goes in between it and the timing cover. This is basically a copy of the factory 65-66 tripower water crossover just tweaked a little for my intake. So a factory or readily available reproduction water neck will bolt on without any modification. I also kept the boss for the water temp sending unit. I am fitting this to the engine right now and will post pic's as I progress. As you can see I made the part with an FDM printer so that I could physically fit the part on an actual engine. This way there is no guessing whether or not that it will work.

Posted some more pic's over on facebook if anyone is interested of the water crossover I am making for my intake. I set the intake on the heads and fitted the crossover before making the final drawing modifications for the tooling. The pic's below are from the cad drawings of the part that we scanned and used to print it as a solid part. I have the actual crossover fitted on the engine in the pic's on facebook.

Hi Don,
I'm not sure if this was asked but what are you doing for rocker arm & pushrod locations for your RAV? Jeff

I just received a shipment of DCI RA5 intakes. Bolted one on to check bolt hole and port alignment. Everything looks spot on.

Jeff, sorry some how I missed your post on 12-21-14. My heads can be run with a stud mounted rocker like Harland Sharp with guide plates. I also contracted Harland Sharp to make shaft mounted rockers with ratios from 1.5 up to 1.95. I just got them in as well and will take some pic's and post them here when I get a chance.

Thanks guy's, I really appreciate the compliments!!!!
I finally got the Harland Sharp shaft rockers. These are 1.95-1 ratio, but they can make these in any ratio from 1.5-2.0.
