Is that the one who's original block is still sitting in somebody's garden here in CT?

I believe it's the one that Mark Schilling got out of Connecticut through a tip from Jeff Polazo. I'm not sure why you thought my comment was negative Matt, these cars are a collection of stories - and this is a great one! Rare is rare & you can't take that away from the car but the story it's now known by makes it all that more special. I'm looking forward to it's debut at MCACN.
Lots of great stories about cars that came out of Connecticut!

Going out on a limb here, but.................if the Ric who lives South of Seattle you had heard about was me, no, not me. I did own a RAIV htp. that is currently in long time owner Tellyshavilli's hands. But no convertibles.

Originally a 350 thm400, now a 463 tko600 tribute Trans Am. Engine built by Paul Knippen's Muscle Motors in Sugar Grove IL. Was a cameo ivory, black vinyl top California car. Has all original metal, glass and interior except carpet and package tray. A big thanks to Paul for helping out after the Chinese crank broke in the stroked 400.

Here's our '68. Body up to firewall & interior is completed. We are nearly done in the engine compartment, so the fenders will be going on soon.
We decided to run a '66 Tripower setup on the E-heads. The ports are much too large for the cast iron '66 intake, so we used the aftermarket aluminum manifold. We added material by welding around the port areas so there would be enough material to port match to the heads. Worked out really well. I'll post more pictures after we have the front end together.
