I'll answer . converting yes, because it's more fun. Original block, yes. Original numbers turbo 400 put away for safe keeping.

Let me clarify.......the second engine in line in the second picture is a D port engine, not an SD. Not the engine that the finely dressed engineer is working on but the one behind him. Non SD code and a non SD carburetor.

I think this was a photo op shot for the new SD engine ('73, before they were pulled for the emission problem). Which would make the next engine a '73 also.

The first engine is a Y8 automatic sd and the second is unknown to me. ZN was not used to my knowledge in 73, 74.
