I got it from Lowe's. It was a Lenox 5" hole saw. Do yourself a favor and buy a digital angle finder...worth it's weight in gold! PM me when your ready to do it and I'll explain how I did mine. Motor should be go to go, but the car will be a heavy biotch!

Thanks for the kudos!

No I'm claiming that day at Milan if I would have been able to run 1/4 mile instead of the 1/8 that I was forced to run there's NO DOUBT in my mind that it would have run high 7.90's but you are correct I didn't run a 1/4 miles so it didn't run a seven.
SERIOUSLY that post is a month old........you must be BORED! LOL!

Theoretically you are correct but I'm not sure they could go 12 rounds in one day and round robin the last 4 rounds but I could be wrong.

George is one of a kind for sure. Bragging about running 7s with a converted time in 2015 when 200+ Mustangs (also boosted) with much smaller engines, 3000 pounds actual measured weight, and smaller tires were running TRUE 7s in 1998. They could "bracket race" too and run the number. George is just 17 years behind the times, John.

Why? They should drop the "race" from "bracket race" and call it "bracket". Its not racing. Any way you slice it , its not racing.

Not at all , im not better than anyone. Bracket racing is fun, just not fun or exciting to watch. Thats why most people dont watch. I was not belittling it in any other way other that its not exciting to watch and that i dont consider it racing, because you r not actually racing anything in turms of first to the finish line.
To be successful at it it takes the same kind of drving skills as any other racing.

IF YOU WANT TO SKIP THE ENGINEERING GO TO POST #121 VS READING THIS

I ACTUALLY posted this in post #109: (I WAS RESPONDING TO John M.)
"George is one of a kind for sure. Bragging about running 7s with a converted time in 2015 when 200+ Mustangs (also boosted) with much smaller engines, 3000 pounds actual measured weight, and smaller tires were running TRUE 7s in 1998. They could "bracket race" too and run the number. George is just 17 years behind the times, John."

George Posts this in Post #111: (A few Half Truths of his own here
"Tom your words mean nothing, you only speak in half truths......its your MO. My car weighs just south of 3,200 I'll put my money where my Mouth is.........how much you gotBIG BOY or should I say WANNA B BIG BOY!"
"Ain't be small block piece of SH_T ford gonna run that quick with only 10 lbs of boost.....show me."

OK I WILL SHOW YOU GEORGE. HALF TRUTH #1 BY GEORGE: SAYS THE FORD RUNS THE NUMBER WITH 10 PSI OF BOOST. THIS IS A 347 CID FORD BY THE WAY - CALL IT A 350 CID FOR EASY MATH TO COMPARE WITH DATA FROM GEORGE'S BLOWER PEOPLE "BDS".
GEORGE IS IMPLYING NOW THAT HE RAN THE CALCULATED 7 SECOND RUN WITH ONLY 10 PSI OF BOOST NOW, (BEFORE THE BOOST NUMBER WAS 12.5 OR WHAT EVER NUMBER HE MADE UP FOR THAT OTHER POST).
BDS HAS THE FOLLOWING INFO ON THEIR WEBSITE: http://www.blowerdriveservice.com/index.php
The actual boost readings from your system may vary greatly from the figures shown here. Aside from the possible differencein blower diameters, there are numerous things that will determine maximum boost levels.

PER BDS SUPERCHARGERS
1. Cubic inches of the engine - more cubic inches means less boost.
(GEORGE HAS A 525 CID ENGINE UNDER HIS 8-71 BDS SUPERCHARGER SO THE BOOST NUMBER WILL BE LOWER FOR A GIVEN MASS FLOW NUMBER AND PERFORMANCE ET/MPH NUMBER.)
2. Cam Shaft specifications - lift, duration, and lobe center play a big part in boost levels.
3. Size of the exhaust system - a small, restrictive exhaust can cause high boost readings.
(GEORGE HAS A FUNNY CAR STYLE EXHAUST ON HIS 525 CID ENGINE SO THE BOOST NUMBER WILL BE LOWER FOR A GIVEN MASS FLOW NUMBER AND PERFORMANCE ET/MPH NUMBER.)
4. CFM available to the blower - carbs that are too small will keep the blower from making maximum boost.
(GEORGE HAS DUAL DOMINATOR CARBS ON HIS 525 CID ENGINE SO THE BOOST NUMBER WILL BE LOWER FOR A GIVEN MASS FLOW NUMBER AND PERFORMANCE ET/MPH NUMBER.)
5. Blower size and drive ratio - larger blowers and higher drive ratios can create more boost.
6. Blower efficiency - blower efficiency is determined by the materials used and the methods of assembly.
So items #1, #3, and #4 are reasons why George can brag about "low boost" numbers. But we are not really wanting to compare boost numbers. We want to compare performance numbers of the engine and chassis to the track performance.

George has a 8-71 Supercharger (from BDS I believe) but the numbers would be the same for mass flow from another supercharger supplier. . Hard to tell though as the George's story changes constantly.
http://www.blowerdriveservice.com/technical-charts.html
At the bottom of the link is a chart for the 8-71 blower (stage 2)

George's engine is a 525 cubic inch engine. So if we go to the chart and look for a boost number around 12-13 psi (what George claims he ran to get the 7 second calculated number)
(BDS says with +10% cubic inches (COLUMN ON THE LEFT SIDE) AND A 500 CID ENGINE THE BLOWER WILL MAKE 14 PSI AND WITH THE 550 CID ENGINE THE BLOWER WILL MAKE 12 PSI) (FOR A GIVEN MASS FLOW THRU THE ENGINE).

(BDS ALSO says with +10% cubic inches (COLUMN ON THE LEFT SIDE) AND A 350 CID ENGINE (SAME AS THE LITTLE FORD 347 ENGINE I POSTED ABOUT) THE BLOWER WILL MAKE 20 PSI AND WITH THE 550 CID ENGINE THE BLOWER WILL MAKE 12 PSI) (FOR THE SAME GIVEN MASS FLOW THRU THE ENGINE).

SO GEORGIE WANTS YOU TO MAKE THE FORD RUN AT 10 PSI OF BOOST (HALF THE MASS FLOW OF HIS 525 CUBIC INCH ENGINE'S MASS FLOW) AND RUN THE SAME 7 SECOND TIME.

HORSEPOWER AND ET ARE BASED ON MASS FLOW THRU THE ENGINE IN A GIVEN PERIOD OF TIME

THE FORD 347 ENGINE IN 1998 (WITH THE SAME MASS FLOW AS GEORGE'S 525 ENGINE TODAY) RAN MID 7 SECOND TIMES

IT IS SIMPLE REALLY IF YOU UNDERSTAND THE MATH AND THE PHYSICS VS BRAGGING ABOUT A PRESSURE NUMBER ON A BOOST GAGE.

So say BDS is telling "Half Truths" George, I dare you.
