The goat is back on the road
Install of the TKO 600 was a little challenging for us 2 "fender benders" but we muddled through it.

We had to mod the tunnel a little more then we had hoped.



We ended up riveting the piece in.




We where concerned about how well the console and 8 track housing for the stereo would fit after the mods to the tunnel.
They went back in with no problem



Brent took the car out for its maiden voyage with the new tranny yesterday with no issues

Great job guys! Absolute beauty! Fantastic father & son project! I'm jealous-neither my Dad nor son have any interest in old cars. I was in Wa a couple years back(Pasco-southeast corner) & was thinking there were some great roads I would love to burn up in my GTO-long straight roads in the middle of nowhere. Good luck & enjoy!

We thought we where done in the spring of 2013
Brent got 3 weeks of driving the car before the engine took a dump
We had the engine stroked and rebuilt the winter of 2013 and got her back on the road the Spring of 2014. That's when we started having problems with the "rebuilt" Munchie popping out of gear.

Any ways Brent drove the car last Summer about 200 miles with the tranny issues and we pulled the Munchie out last Feb. and decided to go with a 5 speed.

Tiger Run is in Portland this year and the last Tiger Run for a while. So its much closer than you think. Its @ the Red Lion Hotel in Janzen Beach, the same location the National was held in 2011.
Just looked at the forecast and it looks good. 70 degrees and sunny Fri., the drags will be at PIR less than a mile away and the car show Sat, their forecasting low clouds with 20% chance of ? Sun. looks a bit like rain though.
So fire up that bad boy 68 and come south. Would love to see Brents car as well as meet you and him in person.
