It has the ford 8.8 center with the 4th gen f-body axle tubes welded in.

That's a good pick for a rear axle, plenty strong, and not too heavy.

There's a Super Stock Racer Named Leo Glassbrenner, is running a 455 SD in such a body style car. He also runs a 68 RAII firebird in stock. Next time, if ever, I'll take a better look at the SS car. I'm now curious about his swap...

I also get bored, seeing EVERY car in a magazine that's LS powered. then I think about how disgusting it would be if all those were ford tritons...LOL

Saw a 70 Challenger in HOT ROD, recently, had a LS in it!!! Made my day!!! "That thing got a hemi in it???............Why, of course not!!!
