That Gold WW5 4spd, I didn't save any pics of it and don't remember a whole lot about it - other than I did label it as a Rust Bucket.
I remember that Revere Silver GTO, Todd. I have that same document. It used to belong to a member here, IIRC. Note that it's a G60 tire car - fairly rare for a '72 400 car . . . a nice GTO in any case!

EDIT - I believe that member's name was "G Palombi" ?

Baron - that's some detailed WW5 information. I'm guessing that you like those cars a lot
I never knew about the WW5 / Trans Am one-click option for these 72 GTO's until after joining this forum. They are dynamite cars and grabbed my interest.

Wayyyy back when i was buying good cars for good prices i could afford, wasn't even fond of 71-72 much really. But would have bought any 455HO example if one had popped up within a certain distance. Nothing but garden variety and parts cars around me back then as far as 71-72. Only knew of one 455HO A-Body in the whole state.

71-72 have finally grown on me over the years, have never even ridden in one.
Knowing how good the 70 models ride/handle - a 72 with Y99 and 455HO has to be something sweet.

You sir, are missing out on a real treat as far as '64-'72 GM A-body ride and handling goes. The '72 Y99 cars are a blast to drive fast, but watch out - that 1 1/8" rear bar DOES make them a bit tail-happy, especially when running bias-belted tires!

So the tally i have is corrected to -

5 - 4 speeds ( 3 with A/C )

10 - Automatics ( 6 with A/C ) ( 4 of the 10 = Bench Seat / Column Shift )

Lloyd I will finesse my listing a little more and post it to the thread you linked.
Maybe some more cars / documents will get posted / added to it .

That sounds great, Todd. Appreciate your updating the list and posting to that 7 year-old thread, bringing it back to life!

I just went through that thread and you have 5 cars that I don't have.
And I have a few that you don't list.
We can get together via email and swap those back and forth.

Believe I will just start a new thread for 72 WW5 GTO 455HO Roll Call

Total I have now is-

7 - 4 speed

13 - Automatic

Only counting the cars that have documentation provided.

I had a consignment consaltant from Mecum Auction's come out to my house to look at my PHS Doc. 74 SD Formula as well as my 72 455 HO GTO. They felt if I were to sell my GTO at the auction ( 15 Illinois event ) they could get me anywhere from $40K-$50K plus. Here's a pic of my Car.

Let's make it happen, Todd. I'll post to the new thread as well. Thanks for bringing this project back to life, my friend.

I wouldn't mind owning this car, even though it's just a LeMans, and an automatic one at that!

Chis that HO Sundance hardtop looks great.
What happened to that car?

Yeah, that color is sweet. Always have had a soft spot for it. A WW5 stick in that color (dare I say a coupe?) could be the ultimate '72 GTO for me.

If done with the White/Black tuxedo interior it would be stunning!

thanks Rich. Wow, I'd buy this if it had an engine, but $8500 with no drivetrain - not even the 12 bolt - is a bit rich. Does it really have all the WW5 OPTIONS as he claims? I AM not seeing G60-15s

Ck th bottom of the first column. Code 724 handling package includes the 15x7 wheels, G60-15's, specific springs, the ride and handling shocks, and the large rear swaybar. Rally II's were optioned above, so car had KR's...something else to track down

Agree on the pricing, I'd hazard to state that the car might be worth that buy it now, if it at least had the original coded WM block. Much better pics would help.
