I was going by the first post in this thread, I understood it to be about a race between DF and JP. I did not see the mention of cylinder heads by the OP in his original post.

I just hope to be in a crowd of about 500 people on the starting line when this race goes down. I want that true southern grudge racing feel. I hope there is some side betting happening too. I need to win something at Norwalk!

![]() With the small inches and low compression around 750? I honestly think the intake with the long runners and being that big will hurt power. When I had a pump gas motor in my 65 back in the mid-late 90s I had a torker II with a spacer and it ran low 11s. The Victor came out and it looked so good I had to have one. I put it on and the car slowed down a tenth! |

For the public school dropouts.
--------------------- Menusha; Menusha is a slang term that means 'stuff no one cares about because it's so stupid'; 'useless information'. --------------------- Impossible to read thru all the menusha in this thread. Like so many others here. But after an attempt to do so, the only thing that came to mind was ...'circle jerk'. The usual suspects doing what they do best. |

Minutia
Proper Spelling and meaning: Minutia is a singular noun meaning a small detail. Minutiae is the Latin plural of minutia, and we usually use it in English. Latin plurals are often tricky, and many eventually drop out of English in favor of –s plurals, but minutiae is deeply entrenched and is likely to stick around, at least in more formal and technical writing registers. Minutias does not regularly appear. But minutia is often treated as a mass noun (e.g., all the minutia is slowing us down), and it’s sometimes treated as plural, as in the first three examples below. If either of these usages becomes more common, we could soon see minutiae begin to fade from popular usage. Examples Because we usually speak of trivial details as plural rather than singular, minutia should properly be less common than minutiae. But minutia is often used in place of its plural—for example: Menusha An idiot trying to spell minutia. While it may seem to be minutia, anyone who writes menusha is a f-ing dumbass. Tom V.

The spelling was cut and pasted directly from the source of the definition. Its slang. And like most slang, the spelling can be somewhat free form.
What's important is the definition. And one very telling indicator of a small mind is name calling right out of the box. But par for the course. |

Simple TTB, even for a guy like yourself.
I will combine the two subjects: Using your words "given cylinder head being improperly designed, messed up chamber, port issues, head is only about an 800hp head, the people developing the head don't know what they're doing etc etc ..." "Minutia" Proper Spelling and meaning: Minutia is a singular noun meaning a small detail. That is where you screwed up 7 years ago (when the head first came out) and the CV-1 people are VERY SLOWLY getting a head that actually somewhat works. One small detail at a time. Now Leech has been through several very successful engines in that time and he does sweat the small details. Vistner got many of the small details right on the first cut so Jack needed to correct a lot fewer of the small details. So everything I said and posted was correct. Same deal with the post #550. If you pay attention to the small details you will always be quicker/faster vs the guy who runs the same old camshaft, springs, heads, boost level, etc but likes to make an appearance at the races. Yes, I did correct you TTB, because you still have not got it after CV-1 port # 9,682 Fulton has done a lot of good things with your project BECAUSE HE DOES SWEAT THE DETAILS. Can't get any more basic than that. And the details ARE important, or you would not be doing the things that you are doing on your car Tom. Tom V. You never need a Lawyer when you post the truth.
