The shaker rarely opened but, when it did...

We had that thing up to 85 mph! Killed the mpg too...see the gauges picture for proof.

We didn't want to miss lunch!

OK so my plan was to leave for the Nats on Saturday afternoon with my 70 and 69. I ended up putting a ram air four motor in the 70. Fired it up for the first time Saturday afternoon and within a minute figured out that we had a big problem. Anti freeze in the oil. Had to pull the motor and we figured out one of the heads when it was ported someone burned through one of the intake ports. Pin hole. I had an extra WS motor and finally today I was able to take the car out for a ride. The car is been off the road since 1974

Looks nice!
Are you going to be able to repair the RAIV head? I hope the shop you used will stand behind their work.

Craig Rick Johnson built the ra4 motor for me but not his fault on the head. I've never had to mag a head so I did not have him do it. I cant even remember where I got the heads from but they where ported by Nunzi and I think someone went in after him to hog them out some more. I'm going to send the head to Indy Cylinder to get it fixed and then I will put that motor into my blue 70.

I bought the car from a member here probable in 05. dancolkate . I don't know if he is still on here but it was kind of a mess when I got it. July built RA3 sp white with blue standard radio, and HD radiator are the only two options. Car was wrecked in the front end and rear pass quarter. He did not have the original motor for it. Ill post some more pics in the next few weeks. I cant find any pics fo the car before but it had no front clip and someone started to paint it blue.
