Definitely not too high. I have pondered this as well. Seems to me that most enthusiast have at least some parts laying around that they feel strong about or have some sentimental connection with. They feel that they just need this or that to build their own motor or car. This allows them to pay as they go rather than save and dump large sum at one time. Also easier to hide from significant other. Just my thoughts.

Expense to result in a good running engine like THAT takes $$$$, decisions, assembly time (risks), and efforts. A real sacrifice that a Buyer will appreciate.

Yeah that is a killer for a street motor.
It would be nice for a street short block if the heads sold! Torqjunki, I understand I'm guilty of buying a little at a time and then putting it together.
