That's actually a real photo. This was from a late 1962 photo session in Liverpool just after signing Ringo to the group (Pete Best had just been fired). Notice they have their Beatle haircuts, but they hadn't quite grown their hair out yet. Ringo had a beard and a pompadour when he agreed to join The Beatles, and he immediately shaved his beard and had his hair cut to match the other three.

I'd be interested to know if it's in England or Germany.
Looks like the lingering aftermath of a WWII bombing raid.

It's Liverpool, England. Liverpool is an industrial city and a seaport. It was bombed in WWII, and in the aftermath of the war, reconstruction did not go well. It wasn't uncommon to see scens or backdrops in photos like this one that shows The Beatles.

And when they say Sprint, they mean SPRINT! Check out the 0-60 times between these two 1966's.

What would be a better comparison would be if the two cars had identical options excluding the engine option. Same trans and rear axle would show what the difference the engines made. I have a magazine somewhere that has a quarter mile test on a Royal 66 4 sp. sprint. High 14's and 92mph.

Agreed that really isn't an equal/fair comparison.
The SPRINT hit the ground running and everyone wanted to beat one up.
I have magazine Test by/from
GM,
Car Craft,
Motor Trend,
Super Stock & Drag Ill,
Car Life,
Road & Track,
High Per Cars,
Sports Car Graphic and Royal Pontiac.
They all came close with results.
Everything from 19.8 to 15.90 at 75 to 86.87 mph.
Royal did get a standing 1/4 mile down to 15.90 @ 86.87mph after numerous gear changes.
I found nothing lower then the 15.90.
Still one heck of a 6, I might get one

Looks not too far after John and George got their matching Gibson J160-E acoustic / electrics from Rushworth's music in September '62.

When I went to Berclair elementary school in Memphis TN. we'd walk by Ronnie Sox's house everyday on the way to school ... Think it was Ronnie, might have been Martin ...but half the time the race car was in the driveway with someone working on it.

He was of course a local hero. This would be about 1969 or so.

Went on to go to school with Joey Lunati, Lee Brewer, and hung out occasionally with Sammy Swindell and Hooker Hood. (All circle track guys)

I happened to see a little of "Back To The Future-Part II" about a week ago. The movie was made in 1989, and was supposed to take place in 2015.

I noticed a couple other things in the background.

When Marty first walks out into the Hill Valley downtown area, in the background, the Pontiac Banshee concept car drove by:

Then during the hoverboard chase, in the background, a giant Pontiac arrowhead on display, and again we see the Banshee.

Well, I'm glad that we finally settled that. These photos from the future showing a Pontiac dealership prove that Pontiac IS coming back.
