The secret must be in his grill. Isn't that the same grill you use for ribs?

Nah, you can't make good ribs on the grill. You have to use a smoker.

Don't worry Doug, I won't forget. Until then, any weekend you get bored and want a road trip come on down.

So here is the test sample of ESC Rust Prevention Magic after sitting outside and exposed to the elements for over 3 weeks. I am still giving this a thumbs up, maybe two thumbs...

There are several slight rust spots beginning to form on the RPM side, but all things considered, I am giving this a thumbs up for now.

Things are grinding along at the Hot Rod Garage. While it's hard to see a lot of progress, the ratio of completed stuff to incomplete stuff is getting better. A lot of focus has been on getting bolts and fasteners cleaned, ready, bagged, and zip tied to the part or assembly they go with. I didn't do this with the Gold Car and think this will really make make reassembly on the Black Car easier. I also got a rolling shelf to put completed parts/assemblies on. So far all the transmission related parts and bolts, intake parts and bolts, and exhaust manifolds and fasteners are finished. Also, I cleaned up and refinished the charcoal canister. I used an SEM bumper paint it and it looks really good. The alternator is also finished. I was going to send the fan and pulley off for replacing, but I cleaned them up on the wire wheel, cleared them, and they look great.

Here's a few pictures.

POR15 exhaust manifold paint. Go back a page to post 844. I use Eastwood high temp spray on the bolts, following the same procedure as used for the POR15. I look forward to following your new project. Sounds like a lot of fun.

Mike - I'm not sure who's "fluff" job is more out of control. I think of you everytime I go to Taco Bell....

Default Fuel Line Retainer Needed

I am still looking for the fuel line retainer that attaches to the lower right corner of the timing cover and holds the fuel line and return line. I would really appreciate any help in finding this part. Here is a picture of the needed piece. Send me a PM or text to 304.859.7509.

Thanks,

Bob

Brian - I would appreciate it if you would as I don't have her contact info other than PY PM which isn't real efficient.

Going to the junkyard this morning in Arizona. I'll keep a look out for one.
