Another IROC photo. Interesting that some of the names on the windshields were airbrushed out. I wonder if those were drivers that did not drive Chevrolets in NASCAR (or in another series), so Chevrolet thought best to airbrush their names out?

I can see Mario Andretti, Benny Parsons, Darrell Waltrip, and Johnny Rutherford. I think the last car might be the Formula 1 driver Jackie Ickx.

IIRC I read the other day that Jaguar was going to off these same cars (15?) as new built as back in the '50's for $1.5 million each...

We had a set of white wall slicks we ran on our '63.

It was quite..."distinctive"...

Excellent! Thought one of the SoCal Pontiacer's might chime in with info. My CRS I don't recall if that Pontiac dealership was there in the 1976-77 timeframe when I lived in Woodland Hills?
