Hello
Does anybody have pictures of external oil drain lines from round port e-heads. I also would be interested in where you went into the pan. Thanks Vince |

couple pics in a stock frame 69 abody. You will probably need to mock it up to see where you can go into the pan with the headers you have. Bigger line the better...these are no 10.

So do you have a "Dam" to direct the oil to the drain hose fitting JC?
The early E-heads are easy as they have a pocket below the valve cover surface where the rear head bolt goes. Tom V.

Not much room on the rear of the head from what I can see. I was thinking the same spot as JC?

Do you'll run diapers?
My diaper hugs the pan pretty tight at rail....

I just used Swageloc fittings: 90 degree 1/2" id out of the heads, 1/2" hard tubing to the oil pan and 1/2" 90 degree fittings screwed into welded bungs in a custom steel oil pan.
http://www.swagelok.com/en/product/F...-Tube-Adapters Working with aeroquip parts take up a lot of space needed on a clutch car. Tom V. There isn't a lot of oil that gets to the valve covers with Smith Brothers .080" restricted pushrods.

I wondered the same thing. I just got mine in today with the new diaper. My heads are tapped for the oil lines but after looking at it I don't see any good way to get an oil line into the pan with the diaper on. Mine will stay plugged for now.

I have not considered a diaper yet just prepping to run it on the dyno. Thanks for something else to worry about! I am beginning to wonder why I do this. LOL

I run the restrictive push rods, seem to do ok. I've thought about hard lines but I'd be concerned about vibration and fatigue.

DRE here also. Fits pretty good. I don't know how I'm going to change the oil but it does fit well.

Fabricate a aluminum containment pan. Lots more room and a lot easier to work on
