That's awesome...we had decent air but a pesky headwind..I've never ran quicker then 11.7/116 at this track...something is always up..nice to have the car finally run well..had quite a few friends down watching too!

Last two runs were into a good headwind..pretty content with the times with the soft 60ft...a bit of fine tuning could drop the 60ft times. My fuel pressure also now drops to 3 lbs by half track which is an issue.
I did manage to outrun my buddy's Chevelle..we were betting on best timeslip for the night...he ran in the 11.5's with one slip at 11.45.He is 555 cuinch 110 octane 3.73 gears...

Hmmmm, I wonder if a fuel PSI tap on the output of a pusher pump (near the tank) would provide the best information?

I hope the ported Torker II experiment works out better than the RPM deal...

Ernie commented the other day you had been through a rebuild over winter, any changes?

Yes some upgrades everywhere...$$$$ ouch.
Engine was refreshed because of some wear and cam bearings that fragmented.
So all bearings /rings and rollmaster chain with Simms mod. New RoMac Balancer
My SD heads received another port enchancment ...tubes now in ports.
Went to a Solid roller lifter so spring pressure was increased ...new crower vasco jets.
Trans was redone by the best guy around here...Hutch. Stock shifter gone now a B&M consol mount unit..love it.
Caltrack springs and Global West shackle kit.....big difference in ride quality. another oil change and its strip time. Have about 120 miles on it....happy happy.
SD is doing a T-2 for me and Shaker 455 has my carb done. That will be installed in June and will only be a race setup. My RPM and Quad still work great.
So lots of stuff going on and a learning curve on rear suspension set-up.
Eager to get at it with TA man....been over a year..

Yes for sure..I think it really came down to hood clearance issues...I run a one inch Wilson tapered Spacer and a 4 inch Spectre Cowl Air Cleaner..with a Torker 2...with the rpm..I could only run one or the other..giving up potential horsepower..I could feel the power loss on the street and it did slow down at the track.

This intake I couldn't pass up..last fall I was offered a deal on port work that anyone would take!
