Default Met a Rockford Files Fan

I sell odds and ends, parts for our Firebirds, I just met a guy in Cali that has 3 Rockford Files cars, from the show. one still has the mic jacks in it, they used this car for interior shots. Plus he has other f body's in the collection. He was looking for a mint Buckskin cōnsole for a long time, I had a nice one. I guess he needed to fix a car with the hurst t tops, he bought all my hurst manuals and I have all the bulletins too, from 76-78. if anyone needs a copy of any of the tech bulletins for the hurst t tops I have all of them. Mostly you meet nice people selling Pontiac parts, another good story.

The "Esprit" cars should actually be Formula's redone as Esprit's. VIN will tell. That also makes them unique / odd.

I saw what must have been his cars in Smoke Signals? Within the last six months or so. Interesting read.

While the 75-up cars were indeed Formulas disguised as Esprit's, the original 74's in Season 1 were Esprit's with the rare (ish) 400 option (2 barrel).

I would swear I saw a '73 once in that show. Maybe the pilot episode?

Rite before I bought the 78, a lady I worked with had a 75 Esprit, it was a car from the Chicago Auto show, her husband worked for Creative Services, GM,s show division, later just having the Chevrolet line, the rest of GM went to HB Stubbs, anyway, I almost bought it, brown tan interiors, it just wasn't taken care of, the oil was black, I passed. I remember it had the big orange stripe on the side? Anyone have a pic of the brown with stripe combo? Lol

Second best 180 turn on a television. Only outdone by the bat turn, hard to compete with parachutes and a van that comes to pick them up.

Heres a cool car I saw today at a Pontiac show - Rare white with Landau top 74 400 ( 2 Barrel ) Esprit - good candidate for a gold paint job or keep it white since it does have a Landau top ? - talked to the guy and he said it was pretty peppy with only the 2 Barrel carb

Triple white Bird: Pretty rare we believe.
400 Esprit: Pretty rare
Combine the two: Has to be very rare.
