Drive it anywhere, anyplace, any time.

Not many guys ever achieve this, hopefully more will carefully study this thread and follow suit..
I agree, but you always have to keep hunting for that next tenth.

At the start of the year I thought maybe low 11.2's..end of this year...after the last outing in warm weather..I'm thinking 11 flat is doable. On my quickest run I had a pretty good hesitation on launch..I'm thinking I can get my 60ft down close to 1.6.With a couple other minor tweaks..maybe knock a another tenth off the et....so it may get close..

Yes that's a given with traction more stall and gear would get it there..I'm enjoying the tuning process too much ....trying to get as much out of the basic combo as I can.

How much does the rear and passenger seats weigh? And the front sway bar? Bet you would get the 2 tenths that way, that's probably close to 100 lbs.

Nice idea..I still like it looking like a car inside!Would probably take 200lbs for 2 tenths....I've thought about the swaybar and may try it again...the old car I took it off for a bit..I like how it handles and leaves flat with it on..but weight is weight..and it may help the launch a bit...I know if I'm knocking on 10.99 the seats will come out!

I did back to back on my TA just with the sway bar unhooked not off and no difference in hooking and sure did sway making the turn around at the end of the track.
Front skinny tires made a bigger difference than just the weight loss with them I guess rolling resistance.

I like my front skinnies..was part of the front end weight loss program...mini starter, battery and wheels and tires...

I notice we never do Racing math here on Max.
And I like All engine parameter math, calculus, & drive train math.
Break it down so all can understand.
Coming up next.

The engine is a Hot Street Strip 455 -463 with modern aluminum race heads, stump puller torque cam, 575 ft/lbs peak torque at the flywheel.

Rear diff Gear. Turbo 400 1st gear . 575ft/lbs flywheel torque.

The gear I would choose gives an instant 28 % torque increase to the pavement blacktop.
Engine is never touched.

My old ventura had a rack conversion and no sway bar at all. It was scary on long sweeping turns, it would push.

That car was meant to do one thing, go straight.

So is that the general/baseline math, 10th of a sec for every 100 lbs?

Thing with gears, cam selection needs to be in line for any gain there. Isn't it something like you want to be a peak HP RPM as you cross the line?

That's still better than Chevy IIs, those things always go towards the wall!

Ideally Yes.
You want to be at Peak HP At 1320 foot mark.
Or at 1000 foot mark and cross 1320 mark 200-400 rpm.
Over.
Not over rev the engine.
Hydraulic Roller cams don't like being over revved.
Stuff breaks fast.

Big torque engines like Pontiacs can cheat some.
But chasing down Tenths with available parts now.
Weight reduction can be done also.
Becomes less of a street car.
More like a gutted Race Car.

Then a Taller rear tire can be used with a Lower gear ratio.
MPH Trap speeds increased in theory.
Big End MPH 800-1320 target goal.
ET reduction should follow.
