Thanks Bruce, that cleared up a lot for me. You sir, have a lot of experience and know how. I don't understand why go to the trouble to mask over the existing HO block. Heck, entire clone cars come within 10-15K of a true #'s matching car in today’s market. This is at least a real Trans Am with a real HO engine. Why risk being arrested for fraud when it's already worth what you are asking while telling the truth.

I think it's probably worth close to 40K. I would just state the obvious and sell the car.

Most people don't care or would even ask anyway. They aren't sick like us .

Newly painted honeycombs on a barn find with trim rings in the trunk. Do you think the original rally's were kept?

if you read it, he says you have your choice of either the originals or the honeys.
not going to get involved in the ebay listing, but I can say the car sat for many years in a warehouse and not moved an inch. it is a real numbers matching (not a restamp) motor and 4 speed trans car with original rear end and factory a/c car.
it was my car and I got pictures of the car when it was new and over the course of the next several years and all of the receipts of any repairs done to the car by the original owner.
when the guy came to pick it up I told him to bring some good tires to put on it because the ones on it wouldn't hold air from sitting for years and years so he brought some repainted honeycombs with new tires mounted on them.
hope that clears up any controversy on the wheels.

Well that what I get for not reading.
Looks like the seller removed it from eBay. Had lots of potential for someone.

Looking very close at the right side of the engine doesn't appear to be a round port head. The distance of the center post is small & when look very close it looks like a D-port head & NOT a round port. I would have to see that one in person to make sure , but for me I looks like a reg. D=port head.

I believe SD & HO are same, I am mid engine build and need an upper dipstick tube for AC application. If anyone has a spare repro or GM I kinda need one and they are not available now. THX, sorry for beg.

did you happen to read my post above. it is a numbers matching born with correct engine
why does everyone always try to find something wrong with a car someone is selling.

I'm not trying to tear the car down , but when you see what you see it's hard to believe what is written. Many can say it was born with something , but if it's NOT correct it's not correct. If it's under dispute the pics should have been better . But the exhaust centers on the engine appear to be D-port heads.

I don't know why the seller wanted to let the auction continue but he stood by the original deal that was made a few days before the auction ended, doing so cost him quite a bit of money but he is a man of his word and did not back out of the deal that he made.

Sounds like congrats are in order. If Muscle Collector owned it at some point and stands by what the owner claims, that's enough for me. Cool to have the history on the car and receipts, too.
