Or maybe the engine doesn't make the power, maybe the engine doesn't accelerate like it should. He was getting 1.0 60fts so im guessing he wasn't spinning and converter was at least working to that point. And it isn't hard to tell if a converter is out to lunch on the topend.

You've made my point.
I changed from a street convertor to a race convertor changed launch technique a shock adjustment and gained 4mph and over .4 drop in ET.

NEVER changed anything motor related...
At the time I wasnt ready to buy a race convertor but someone's divorce created a deal I couldn't pass on. I hadn't changed because I drove on the street most anywhere. Later found the 8" worked better on the street than my street convertor. Surprised me.

Like I've said, you still completely miss the point. Even a .2-.3 second and 3 mph increase is a pretty impressive number by itself....whether you believe in the 150 hp increase or not.

Not to mention you are throwing in a whole lot of "maybes", yet you sure act like you know its the heads.

I agree it takes time.
Do you race?

... the answer to who ported both sets of HP's here is yes !!!!! it is the same guy Brian, which obviously reveals your real reason for all of your BS disappointment towards Poe's results, wow what a phukin' miracle !!!! ...

So no matter what he was hoping for or how much et/mph the parts change should have provided in et/mph. One should just be impressed that it picked up?? I guess if we are setting incredibly low standards then yes im impressed it picked up.

I have raced. I'm definitely not the most experienced racer. But none of what I've said requires an expert to know. Its pretty basic stuff. I really think what happened here is the racers spend time over on Yellowbullet. They get used to the crap they see over there, and how its done...then bring it back over here.

And the moderators have done a crappy job of keeping the forum a cool place to share experiences, knowledge, etc. At least in the race section. I get being competitive. I get banter and having fun. But guys...this isn't fun. Not the healthy kind.

I'm no tree hugger by any means. I spent time in a uniform doing some miserable things. I don't expect everyone to like everyone else or get along.

But have a little respect for others, and even yourselves.

Those increases are not low standards...they are actually fairly significant gains, and how do you know what he did or didnt expect? You also didn't allow for any improvement as the car gets sorted out.

Interesting that you don't seem to get either of those things.

I know exactly why my engine gained. Im way more involved in my engine than you think.
This honestly has nothing to do with him. Im sure you won't believe that because you think this is a "war", lol.

... then answer the questions Brian ... and i'm sure it takes a ton of effort to write that check, well checks in your case ...

... so do tell, with all your input, were you the one determining how you wanted your manifold cut apart, ported and put back together ?? ...

... were you the one deciding on lifter offset, port CSA and valve size ?? and even port shapes for that matter ?? ...

... target compression ?? ...

... lobe majors and overlap ?? ...

... piston details, round or eliptical, full skirt or semi, prostock ring pack maybe ??? ...

... yeah, it's already painfully obvious, you do not like being asked questions, but you do not have a problem asking questions of others ...

... i can assure you that you're not qualified to do so, regardless of your opinion Brian ...

The racers get tired of being told by the key board racers they're wrong. That's how it starts.

It's just my opinion, that's all it is. I was more than will to leave it at that in post 995 on page 50, but Bill seemed like wanted to keep going, i had the time and zero to loss so here we are.

Like I said, it doesnt take a very experienced racer to get these very basic concepts. I have raced, but I'm not keyboard racing here. What I've stated again is basic. The gains you have described as unimpressive are in fact fairly impressive whether you believe 150 hp or not. Yes....150 hp SHOULD show more gains. Maybe with time they would have or would not have. Maybe he only gained 110 hp. Maybe it was only 60/

But that doesnt change the fact that Poe had a healthy, significantly faster car when he switched to CV-1 heads.

I think I've mentioned before I'm not a believer in any one head. I have E-heads I am happy with. Whats obvious is that Poe's Cv-1 heads were better on HIS engine than Poe's E-heads were.

THAT's what the results showed, and they showed it without question.
